My work is dedicated to exploring non-figurative painting, striving to remove representational elements and allowing viewers to discover their own unique interpretations within abstraction. I believe the essence of art lies in its openness, enabling each person to experience different emotions and associations.
In my creative process, I place great emphasis on the “musicality” of painting. Through the interplay of rhythm, harmony, and layering, my works resonate like a silent symphony, conveying an inner sense of freedom and balance. I also aim to highlight the “meaninglessness” and neutrality within the compositions, freeing the work from narrative and judgment, and engaging viewers through pure visual language.
Although my paintings are abstract, my inspiration comes from tangible experiences in everyday life. My art is a form of “translation,” reshaping fleeting moments and subtle details through the canvas. I am not a person of great intellect; all my abilities and inspiration are gifts from God. With gratitude, I create to share the peace and freedom that flow from His grace.

SHERWIN J. WANG是美籍华裔艺术家，1969年出生于中国，并在中国接受了专门的印象派油画教育训练，目前工作生活于美国洛杉矶。近二十年在表现形式上他深受FRANK AUERBACH,LEON KOSSOFF,MARK ROTHKOH和RICHARD SERRA的影响，潜心从事表现主义和抽象极简主义的探索研究。作为虔诚的基督徒，他的创作主始源泉和主题皆来源于圣经。他并未参加任何艺术团体，可能源于他的内向和专注。
SHERWIN J. WANG is a Chinese-American artist born in China in 1969 and trained in China with a specialized education in Impressionist oil painting, currently living and working in Los Angeles, USA. In the last two decades, he has been deeply influenced by FRANK AUERBACH, LEON KOSSOFF, MARK ROTHKOH, and RICHARD SERRA in terms of expressionism, and has devoted himself to exploring and researching Expressionism and Abstract Minimalism. As a devout Christian, the primary sources and themes of his creations are derived from the Bible. He is not a member of any art organization, probably due to his introversion and concentration.
